recent budget vs investment strategies

With all the talk around the budget, would that hinder your investment strategies or business as usual?

i dont think my plan will net me some of the portfolios that others have amassed as i'm just kicking off my journey, but for me i'm thinking im going to keep going and i will address any impacts when i look to sell.

BGBL

lets get the obvious out there straight away, i started my investment journey Feb this year so pretty green.

i've been trying to get a core of ETF's and shares and putting my uber eats money into that instead of getting obese.

i got IVV and NDQ, which probably is oversaturation in the US markets, but thought i would compliment it with IOZ (ASX) and BGBL thinking if was global. I stupidly was trying to us AI to help me pick which one, but quickly understanding that AI agrees too much and doesnt offer substance.

So i bought BGBL and IOZ minimums to satisfy the Chess Sponsored shares/etf amounts, most likely got excited and rushed in wanting to finish my portfolio, but noticed that BGBL is 70% of the US market and only a sprinkling of other globals.

So looking for some thoughts around BGBL as a smart decision or just much of a muchness.

I'm only new to the Share Market, but thought i had some bluechips worked out, but after 3 months, i'm not sure.

I picked ANZ (only 20 shares) as part of my strategy, but was noting its been trending downwards for a while and on the fence to if i keep adding to it, or offload them and get IOZ or BGBL ETFs. I did notice that there is an expected dividend coming which isnt much considering the volume i have.

my strategy was to divert $250 per fn in lieu of buying takeout etc and just top up the core shares/etf i have. i want to do this for a min of 5 years. Nothing major, more trying to be a little smarter with the disposable income.

so got ANZ, BHP, Santos, Telstra, NDQ and IVV so far and just want 2x ETFs. I know there are some strong opinions on ANZ, Telstra and also Santos being cyclic
