Idk if others are talking about this, but maybe every past reincarnation of Tabitha has had 2 kids with the same or similar abilities. Perhaps they all even lost a third child in order to develop the need to save the children. That being said maybe the difference in this loop is the fact that their are 2 story tellers alive at the same time.
The question is why would the monsters continue to let Victor live? Maybe it's them underestimating Julie and Ethan? Perhaps in the past none of the kids have been able to develop or use their abilities. So Julie and Ethan are an unprecedented factor? Or, if the theory that at least one person must remain alive in Fromville in order to keep the place alive is true, then that would make Victor the perfect specimen. Someone with such a broken mind that the monsters consider them a non factor.
So in this loop it'll be a case of Victor, Julie, Tabitha, and Jade remembering the previous story that was told, and Ethan creating an ending for the story.
