3d Printed Dash Insert for AIM Dasah
Hey everyone. I'm slowly turning my 07 Z into a track car. Part of that project is getting an AIM MXm dash installed. I found some 3d scanned data of the center console on Thingverse and designed a replacement insert to fit in the radio opening. From there, I cut an opening for the AIM dash with a mating bracket for the back side.
So far it looks good. The picture in my car is just a mock up, not the final form. I'm going to prime and sand it to a smooth finish, and probably paint it black. I'm still on the fence about black paint or maybe some alcantara. I'm open to opinions if anyone has any.
If anyone wants this file for 3d printing, please let me know. I can send a copy that doesn't have any cut-outs in it, or with the AIM dash cutout if anyone else is using one of those units.
