- Index alignment: Alignment of the Coronet and baton markers looks solid. No glaring misalignments.
- Dial Printing: Crisp; the sunburst effect has a curvature—is this consistent with recent VF batches?
- Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks good
- Hand Alignment: Looks good
- Bezel: The fluting looks slightly soft/rounded at the edges. I also have concerns regarding the overall alignment—would love a second pair of eyes on this.
- Solid End Links (SELs): First-time buyer; looking for feedback on the lug-to-link gaps. Do these look tight enough for VF standards?
- Timegrapher numbers: 4s/d, 267°, 0.1 ms, 52° - Within acceptable range
- Anything else you notice: There appears to be some residue/debris around the perimeter of the cyclops (magnifier). I’m unsure if this is external dirt or excess adhesive.
After comparing the different versions and review, I chose the Victory Factory (VF) DJ41 over VSF, as I feel this batch offers a great balance of aesthetics for the price. I’ve noticed the sunburst effect on the green dial has a curvature compared to other versions I’ve seen; I’d love to know if this is a known characteristic of the VF dial.
My main concerns:
- Cyclops/Magnifier: There is visible residue or debris around the edge of the magnifier. Does this look like external dust that can be wiped away, or is it common for VF to have excess adhesive/glue in this area?
- Bezel: The fluting appears a bit softer (more rounded) than typical. Is this within the "GL" range for this factory?
I’m leaning towards a GL (Green Light) provided the magnifier issue is just surface dirt. I would appreciate any feedback from the community on the SELs and the bezel sharpness before I make the final call. Thanks for the help!
