I M(21) went on a date with my F(29) manager. So, this all started around 3 weeks ago when we started texting more outside of work and not about work stuff. we were already talking a lot at work as like normal casual conversations. I got this feeling from her that maybe it was something more. But, didn’t want to assume anything because she has a kid and her kids father still lives with her. As we texted more she ended up asking if i wanted to hangout outside of work sometime. I obviously agreed to this and we planed to go out to dinner that next weekend. When I picked her up she had a very beautiful dress on with her makeup done (which is normal for the restaurant we went too) We went out to a nice restaurant in downtown which i had already been to before but she had never been. We had a really amazing time and dinner and ended up talking in my car for about another 2 hours after the date. After I dropped her off she texted me saying she had a really good time and wanted to go out again so i agreed. We haven’t been in tho second date yet because our schedules just haven’t lined up at all. But, our texts have gotten a lot more flirtatious and now I’m trying to see if I have put myself in a sticky situation. I really do like and enjoy her presence. But, with her being my direct supervisor and all I feel like there could be a slight power imbalance in our relationship (we aren’t dating but you all know what i mean) I just wanted everyone’s opinion on this sub reddit about it. also this is obviously a throwaway account lol.
