Just feeling overwhelmed
I work 40 hours a week and work second shift (I don't like second but don't have a choice). I barely made it through high school and learned nothing. I was in with a bad crowd I guess they say. I'm now 30. Community college is free for me so I decided why not get a business degree in case I want to use it in my job or in case of layoffs. I don't have kids or much going on
I only signed up for 3 classes I'm 2 days in and I feel like I'm drowning. I haven't even opened my 2 other classes. The math has consumed me. It's the easiest business math but I'm stuck on whole numbers chapter 1. I went by the book and couldn't figure out how to multiply so I figured I'd pick it up tomorrow and try a YouTube video. And it's just embarrassing. Fractions are chapter 3 and I'm just so nervous. I have to be on chapter 3 next week
I'm not even sure what advice I'm looking for here. I'm going to keep practicing but I'm wondering if I should just drop the class and maybe try to take just math in winter?
Edit Looks like I can drop by tomorrow with a refund. I'm going to save the book so I can prepare in the meantime. I'm thinking fall I will take another 2 classes. And in winter I will try the math. I did skim my other 2 classes and they seem doable
