I’ve been sewing machine adjacent for more than 40 years and have personally owned a machine or 8 for at least 30 years but didn’t really start using one until a few years ago. I know which end is the poky end and have made a few okayish garments and a bunch of myog bags and Sailrite backpacks but I’m always ready to learn more.
I’ve seen Paul’s videos on instagram but he just launched a series of longer form videos where he goes through pretty much every thing from what the various bits of the machine are called, through threading and then trouble shooting. The trouble shooting video alone is worth the price of admission. It’s just over 12 minutes of very valuable information.
I highly recommend watching all of them, it’s less than an hour of your time.
