The red-blue button dilemma is as follows, according to Tim Urban, its proponent:

"Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?"

On first thought, it would seem like a simple choice whether you as an individual would press red at the risk of nothing or blue at the risk of dying if the criteria is not met. The "obvious" rational choice is therefore pressig red.

However, the condition "everyone in the world" adds an ethical dimension to the choice. "Everyone in the world" includes children who can't read, the elderly who can't understand, and the disabled who can't respond. The consequences expand from a choice for the self to a choice involving the self and others.

In posting this to the subreddit, I am very interested in what Catholic philosophical traditions may overall think of the dilemma. What may the Augustinian answer? What may the Thomist answer? What may the Catholic phenomenologist answer? etc. Thanks.

Hello. Follow-up question sa previous post ko rito. This time, looking into other brands sa same price point ng Samsung 26 5G or Samsung 37 5G.

Aside sa Infinix Note 60 Pro, are there other brands na nag-ooffer ng mas magandang value for money para sa 20k kesa sa current offers ng Samsung? Should I wait sa rumoured A27 para magkaroon ng laban si Samsung?
