Day 9 Post Microneedling - rash help!
I got Skinpen microneedling + PDGF done at a cosmetic dermatologist & plastic surgery center in preparation for my wedding in August. I don’t know what depth they used, but it was extremely aggravated and red immediately post procedure and lasted about 5-6 days. By day 7, majority of the initial bruising and inflamed areas starting going down but new areas of redness that feel like a very dry rash started appearing on my cheeks and isn’t going away. It stings/burns quite a bit.
I contacted the derm about this rash and they prescribed a topical steroid (Clobetasol), but I’m nervous to jump straight to extra strength topical steroids with the potential negative side effects. What else can I do to improve this?
After 72 hours I went back to using my typical skincare routine: Sulwahsoo gentle foaming cleanser, laneige cream skin toner, and Torriden 5D Hyaluronic Acid Soothing Gel, and Aquaphor at night. Since my forehead and chin are ok, I’m not sure that any of these products are actually the cause of this irritation.
I would appreciate any help or advice here, just trying not to panic that I’ve ruined my skin….
