I accidentally off cut part of my pinky nail while shaving :(
I’ve been growing them out the past few weeks for prom. I know it could be worse, but it just makes me sad to have to file it down🥲

Was already about to cut them short (broken nail) and then this happened at work... need advice on the best way to solve this/what should i ask the nail tech for (I've never had my nails done professionally but i imagine this is a good time to start) 😔

hm ı love my natural nails but middle one is probably about to be broken so ı will have to trim them a bit but its okay.
i don't use any nail strengthener and i'm always doing stuff with my hands, so i charge it to the game. no products used except cuticle oil occasionally.
I tried both of these (not together) and nailtiques made such a noticeable difference. I'm Canadian and ended up paying what seems to be more than what it's sold for in the states but it was worth it. The cost of 2 repair modes would have bought 1 bottle of nailtiques.
Repair mode did absolutely nothing for my nails.
Did anyone else have similar experience between the 2?
Natural nails, just jojoba oil and lanolips gold balm!
Might have to chop these pretty short soon to play violin again, but thankfully am growing out my right hand now 😇
Hi everyone!
I hope I picked the right flair.
My wonderful mom has such beautifully long nails and I told her about this sub and she got excited to share them. She's dealing with battling cancer right now and any positive comments would really help lift her spirits.
thank you 🙏
Hi! I've been trying to grow out my natural nails out. But unfortunately they are a bit soft you could say. If I press on the grown out edge, the bend easily. I have never gotten acrylics, gel, biab or anything of the sort, just regular old polish and that too, maybe a few times a year 😅. I've always liked the round/oval/almondish shape but it ends up snapping right where the free edge starts. 🥲
Please help with some easy/basic nail routine and a shape recommendation. Thank you!
Been a part of this sub for a long time for inspiration, I hope I’ve finally met the minimum length requirement!💖
After biting my nails for around 37 of my 39 years I have finally managed stopped biting them and am very proud of myself, though don’t like how ugly the thick white bits look.
What would you do next? A colourful manicure? French manicure?
No products used on my nails in these photos.
Thanks 🙂
Based on suggestions, I just started using pure acetone to remove my polish and dehydrate my nails. But after I use it I get these cloudy marks on the tips of my nails. It seems to go away once I hydrate with oil again. But I was just curious if this is normal from drying the nail out? Or maybe I used too much?
Thanks!

Honestly I'm happy I get to decide a shape nowadays when there was a time my nails were so weak they would break all the time. I like both shapes, maybe I like almond shape better but which suits my hand best?
my nails have gotten just a bit too long for my liking (and comfort), because I've been lazy and haven't took the time to file down some of the length when doing a mani aaaand now they've kinda gotten too long
i'm not sure if i have the patience of just filing them until i like the length again... so I'm very very tempted to just trim them a little
it will be just a small chop, nothing too dramatic i hope? but i'm still afraid i may regret it if i end up accidentally cutting too much 😵💫
(i just took off my polish and haven't even filed them to give maintenance to the shape, so if they look kinda wonky it's because of that 😅)

Thinking about growing them out again instead of chopping them all the way down. Second pic is where they r at rn
