For generations, they have prayed and fought under the shadow of their penance, they believe the constant planetary storm is a manifestation of the Emperor’s wrath, a punishment for the betrayal of a Space Marine Legion that was once stationed here during the Horus Heresy that turned traitor. Their loyalty was tested, and they failed.
