I started crocheting again mid April and decided to buy yarn for the first time ever from Hobbii (didn’t know about their AI stuff, so don’t come after me for that.) I bought several of their honey bunny yarn.

I received the yarn the other day and used it last night. It was fine at first. It was really soft. But it was shedding like crazy. Once I finished the piece I went to use a yarn needle to weave in the ends, and when I was removing the yarn needle basically all the yarn came off with it. Kinda annoying honestly.

Is their quality usually like this? I thought it would be better, but I guess I should’ve known considering their prices…?

Think I’m gonna try Premier yarn next time… hopefully it’s better?

EDIT: I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY MADE A LARGER ONE. I used a larger hook (5.0mm -> 5.5mm for the body, and 4.0mm -> 4.5mm for the ears, nose, and feet.) I followed the first few rounds of the original pattern exactly, then before the first round that had bobble stitches for the ears, I did increases all around. The rest of the pattern was almost the same, except a few rounds I added an extra increase or decrease. But other than that, since there was more stitches in the rounds, I finished off some rounds with extra single crochet stitches. The bigger one is roughly ~2 inches longer than the first one I made by following the original pattern. It’s also a bit wider as well.

I found an animal pattern on Etsy that I really like. I bought it and made the pattern. It turned out nice so I want to make it again but bigger this time.

How do I go about “sizing up” the pattern? I’ve never attempted to do this before.. help appreciated thanks.
