What do you consider (day) potty trained and how long did it take after you started training?

Particularly wondering for those who potty trained on the younger side, near or under 2 years old.

6 weeks? 6 months? 1 year?

1 or less accident a day? In a week? Telling you themselves they need to go? Just going themselves? Or having to prompt them everytime?

What does *potty trained* look like to you?

Stainless steel straw replacement

I wanted to replace the inner straw to this cup and I bought some stainless steel replacements for her owala cup and I thought they fit in this one, but stupid me.. I only checked that it would fit in the straw hole, not length wise once the cover is on. So I threw the plastic straw it came with away only to later release the straw replacement is too long lol.

The replacements I got are 4.53 inches and I can’t find a 4in stainless steel straw anywhere?? I’ve looked all over the internet and even used various key words.

Anyone happen to replace this cup straw with a stainless steel one? If not, the entire cup is junk since I don’t even have the original straw lol.

Does it get worse, then better and then worse again before it gets better again?

I want to preface this by saying that I know LO is young and we don’t have any issues with stopping and starting again later. But I’m trying to figure out if this is a true ‘I’m not ready’ sign or if this is just part of the process.

So LO is 21 months. She’s peed and pooped on the potty on several occasions for 3-4 weeks leading up to this week. Not that she told us, but that we saw signs of going or we just happen to catch it by chance.

Now we’re on day 4 of the Oh Crap! method. Day 1- we had 13 accidents. Day 2- 8 accidents. Day 3- we only had 4 accidents. She even would say “pee” or “potty” and get off the couch or walk over and sit on potty herself. I’ve noticed an increased stretch of time between pees, despite pumping her with fluids, when comparing to day one to day three.

Today, day 4, we’ve had 7 accidents so far and we still have another 3ish hours of the day. She hasn’t told us once she has to go and just starts peeing on the floor. She did wake up from her 2.5hr nap with a dry diaper and went pee on the potty when she woke up (prompted by me), so I thought that was neat!

But are small regressions like this normal and part of the process? I’m a FTM so i don’t know what the heck I’m doing lol. Or is this a sign she’s not ready?
