Hey everyone, I'm building a team to work game jams together. The goal is to ensure we can work cohesively before starting full production on Amongst the Stars.

I already have a developer and composer onboard. Now looking for a 2D artist who genuinely cares about expressive characters and backgrounds. Your art should tell a story. Our first title Amongst the Stars follows a young celestial trying to earn his place among the constellations, the main character communicates entirely through movement and color.

I'm new to the game industry, but not to storytelling. I've published 5 books, a manga, a live action book trailer, and a product line that sold out on Amazon. Here's some of my writing if you're curious: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nE4FJT__CwvQ0kmpYDjz6QTFVcBjU3LV/view

Jams are unpaid as they should be — the right fit gets invited to the full project with fair compensation afterward, flat rate or rev share your choice.

No vague promises. No ghosting. Just making something together.

Thank you for your time. I will try to respond as quickly as possible.

Hey r/INAT

A little about me — I've published 5 books, created a manga, produced and directed a live action book trailer, and designed a product line that sold out on Amazon. I'm new to the game industry specifically but not to storytelling, creative production, or following through. I come in with genuine respect for artists who know this space better than I do.

Our first title Amongst the Stars is a narrative 2D platformer set in the galaxy — visually inspired by Hollow Knight's expressive hand drawn animation. The main character Gem communicates entirely through movement and color. His animation is the emotional heart of the game. Every jump, shoot, and mid air pause needs to feel celestial and alive.

I already have a developer onboard and we're actively building the team — looking for an animator who wants to be part of something from the very beginning.

I'm joining game jams to find collaborators I trust before working on the full project together. Jams are unpaid as they should be — but the right fit gets invited to the real project with fair compensation afterward, flat rate or rev share your choice. The long term goal is a vertical slice to pitch to publishers for full development funding.

Here's some of my writing if you want a sense of how I approach story: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nE4FJT__CwvQ0kmpYDjz6QTFVcBjU3LV/view?usp=sharing

Thank you for your time.
