Move away from Louisville suggestions
I'm 24F from and currently living in Louisville, KY and graduated with my bachelor's last year debt-free. I have spent the last year saving to move away and plan on spending the rest of this year doing the same, so I should ideally have about $25k saved by December. This is so stereotypical, but I would really like to live somewhere like Portland, OR, but closer (within 6ish hours of Louisville) and more affordable. I like mid-sized cities with a good art/music scene that are very close to nature (love hiking/kayaking) but also have plenty of career opportunities. My only non-negotiables are that the area has to be LGBTQ friendly and doesn't get super cold in the winter like Milwaukee or Minneapolis because I have a joint disease that becomes debilitating in the cold. I've been looking into places like Asheville so far but would like to hear more suggestions.
