Remembered something my MIL did a couple times before and want to see yours does this too.
She keeps nagging about my FIL all the time, that he didn’t do something properly like didn’t fold his clothes or remembered to buy things for his sisters/random person but forgot what she asked him to buy for the house. Or, speaking in incomplete sentences or not keeping things back in its own place or forgetting where he’s kept the things he took.
And me like an idiot wanted to bond with her by relating to her, so I said my husband (her son) does the same exact things, which he does to the T. BUT she got triggered!!! She was annoyed and started defending her son saying I was criticizing him! For saying that I relate exactly to what she was complaining about! And to add to it, my FIL also said ‘as if we didn’t have a life and know to manage the house before you women came into our lives’.
On the other hand, my parents always take my husband’s side, even if he jokingly says something about me to my parents to pull my leg, my parents take it seriously and tell me I’m mistreating my husband. Looks like I can never win and will always be the bad guy 😂 Very convenient for men in our society to get away with everything.
I don’t have these problems with my ILs anymore because I’m low-no contact with them now 😂
