So, does anyone have a thing (like me) where infinitesimal changes in a name impacts how you feel about it?

For example, I like Ellen much more than Helen. I like Austen more than Austin, even though they sound the same.

I like Adrian, but I LOVE Hadrian.

There are more, but I wonder if others have a similar “thing” as this?

FWIW, this isn’t about “proper” spelling like Michelle vs Michele, it’s more about a visceral, yes! vs no, ugh!
