Stop looking at Total Sales it’s a vanity metric.
Just did a deep dive into my Q1 numbers and realized my most profitable product was actually losing money.
The Shopify dashboard is great for high-level stuff, but it doesn't account for the hidden bleed: return shipping, the 3% currency conversion fees, and those one-off influencer payments that never show up in your ROAS.
I had to build a custom tool to sync all this because I realized I was making decisions based on Revenue while my bank account was telling a different story. Especially with multi-currency sales, the exchange rate fluctuation alone can kill a 10% margin overnight.
How often are you guys auditing your real profit margins? Once a month? Or are you tracking it daily?
