I am someone that has just started to get in the gaming laptop world. I have a very faint idea of what is good and bad, I just know the minimum. So when researching for a new device, this is what I was looking for:

  1. Can run almost any game, doesn't have to be on the best graphics.
  2. Portable.
  3. Capable of light to medium live streaming.
  4. Be amazing when using Windows Office programs.

When I started researching, making a savings budget, projection, etc., my issue is that I find myself in two situations.

The firt one: I find a beautiful laptop. For example, the ROG G18: amazing RAM, good memory, good capabilities, the sorts, but when I start digging further, I find that the motherboard of many ROG devices can literally be roasted due to a failed liquid metal application. Which for me, scared me from buying said device, so I went with another option, but also had issues of their own. And to top it all, the warranty sucks and the company is not going to fix the device you paid tons of money for, even if they are fully responsible. And thus, I get into researching for the best laptop available, and with a client service that doesn't make you feel like an idiot for wanting your money and customer rights be respected.

And the second one, is when I want to check with people on the internet in different groups, people start saying the many, many flaws the device has, and saying it is "outdated", that the components are trash and it's better to have a stick right on your bum than to use that "wretched compendium of metal and plastic". Or, so I have been told, to get a PC, and knowing just my luck, I know I am going to screw up the build even in the easiest parts of the process.

That is why I am asking you if it is normal to feel like this when getting into gaming laptops, and wanting one so bad, but the options you find have flabbergasting, fatal flaws on the devices, you feel like you have been trapped into a corner, where you must buy something, and feel by not only the manufacturer, but also some buyers that you are wasting your time and money. Nonetheless, that is also my perspective, which is from a guy that can barely use Windows Word, and maybe, as an outsider, it's wrong and I need someone who is more knowledgeable about this topic.
