8k Wrong Send for Papa’s Blood Transfusion/Hospital expenses (Recipient is unreachable or possibly inactive?)
Hello po, I need advice badly.
My brother accidentally sent 8,000 pesos to the wrong number today. Nag cash out sana sya sa tindahan and this was supposed to be for our dad’s blood transfusion and hospital bills (he has CKD and diabetes). Ung mistake was just one digit lang (8 instead of 9). We’ve tried calling and texting the number to ask nicely for the money back, but it’s always "cannot be reached" or "out of coverage." And one time I tried calling them using my papa's number pero long repeating tone lang meron. I’m starting to think the account might be inactive or the SIM is expired?? Kasi I've tried 3 sim cards to call them na. 🥲 Di ko rin malaman laman name nya 😭
What we've done so far:
-Filed a ticket with GCash, but they just gave us a generic "contact the recipient" reply, eh we can't contact them ngani 🥲
-We have the reference number and receipts ready.
Pano po kaya i-escalate to sa BSP on Messenger? Ano pong issue # ang pipiliin ko? 4 units pa naman need ng papa ko for the blood transfusion. May way po kaya to verify if the account is still active? And since this is a medical emergency, what’s the fastest way to get GCash to actually reverse it?
I’m really desperate. Any help or tips on how to handle this would mean a lot. Thank you. 😭
