I was 11 years old. The Mets ended the season in the basement (66-96). I took this picture with my plastic camera on the night my dad took me to Shea. It was a hot July night in Queens and we watched Pete Rose tie the NL hitting streak record.
But honestly I didn’t care all that much about hitting streaks, I just remember how happy I was to be in the same building as the Mets and my Pop.
