I picked up a new 14" MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip in it (15 cores model with 24 GB of Ram and 1 TB storage). I mainly am using it for work (document creation, photo editing, light video work) and am wondering if it's worth it to return and upgrade to the 18 core model and increase the ram and storage. My boss is letting me get what I need but I don't want to do anything that is overkill. I do some portrait editing with Photoshop and Topaz, video editing with iMovie and maybe Final Cut Pro (if I ever get around to learning how to use it), Word for documents, and some flyer creation with Affinity. Just want to make sure this will last for 5 years.
