Radios repaired in the US incur large HST charge coming back to Canada.
I sent a couple of $150 radios that I owned from Canada to the US for repair.
They arrived back in Canada with an invoice stating the package has a value of $2,700 and that I owe $546 for HST and other fees.
Both the sender and I tried numerous times to have this corrected. In the meantime I refused delivery. Now the package has been declared abandoned.
I've received a second overdue notice, so UPS still expects me to pay up.
What should I do?
