I applied for my daughter’s MN1 British citizenship about 2 months ago.

I am planning a short trip to the UK in early July and would like to take her with me.

Since she is still an Egyptian passport holder at the moment, I assume she would need a tourist visa.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate any advice:

Is there any issue with applying for an MN1 application and a UK tourist visa at the same time?

If the MN1 is approved before we travel, would this affect her ability to enter the UK on a tourist visa?

If the MN1 is approved quickly, how long does it usually take to issue a British passport?

Hi everyone,

I submitted my children’s overseas passport application about two weeks ago, and the status has been stuck on “Documents Received” since then with no updates.

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar delays at the moment? Is this normal for overseas applications, or should I expect a change soon?

Any recent experiences or timelines would be really helpful. Thanks!
