1h20 Layover at CDG (2E to 2F) – Is 40 minutes to the gate actually doable?
Hi!
I’m flying with Air France from Reunion Island (RUN) to Marseille (MRS) with a connection at Paris-CDG, and I’m starting to panic about the timing.
Here is the breakdown:
• Arrival: 06:00 AM at Terminal 2E.
• Departure for MRS: 07:20 AM at Terminal 2F.
• Boarding Deadline (HLE): 06:40 AM.
This means I only have 40 minutes from the moment the plane lands to reach the gate for my next flight before it closes.
I’ve seen the official transit maps. Depending on where I land (Gates K, L, or M), the estimated transit time is between 25 and 50 minutes. I only have a small backpack (no carry-on suitcase), but I still have to go through passport control and security.
My questions:
Is it realistic to make it from 2E to 2F in under 40 minutes if my flight lands at Gates L or M ?
Since I’m on a single ticket (PNR), will they automatically rebook me on the next flight to Marseille if I miss the 07:20 AM one?
How long does the passport control/security check usually take at that time of the morning (6:00 AM)?
Any tips to speed up the process would be greatly appreciated!
