Building Pinwheel, a WhatsApp-based AI for people who think themselves into knots.
You message it like you'd message a friend. Instead of generic advice, it names what kind of overthinking you're doing in that moment (anticipating worst cases, looping on the same thought, stuck between options) and shows what's happening cognitively. Then it nudges toward a clear next step.
Not therapy. Not a coach. No patronizing. Closer to the friend who skips the nice part and tells you what you're actually doing, even when it stings.
No app to install, no signup. It's WhatsApp native.
Early stage.
I ran a 5-day beta with 10 friends/family. That's done.
Now I'm a few weeks into reaching strangers (Reddit, Substack readers I write for). Three of them have come back unprompted for day 2 or day 3, which feels like a small but real signal.
Asking for 20 honest testers willing to use it for a week.
I want to know where it felt off, where the response missed, where it was actually useful. Negative feedback is more valuable to me than positive right now.
