I replaced my Liquid Metal on my CPU with PTM because I was going to travel a lot with this laptop and didn’t want to risk LM spills. After doing so, I noticed that my Cinebench score was only getting 18000 when it should be getting something more like 21000.
Can anyone who replaced the LM on their 285h tell me their cinebench score after a 30 minute test or a gaming session? I want to make sure that I didn’t just get bad PTM.
I’ve been trying to do a factory restore using cloud recovery but it keeps crashing on me.

results are from a +375 core overclock and a +2000 memory overclock (I don’t think the memory overclock changes anything)
Was reaching 87 degrees and thermal throttling at 130w from the GPU while playing Monster Hunter Wilds. I had my laptop flat and didn’t max the fan curves though so it is possible to achieve 140w sustained from the GPU by raising it and raising the fans. On average it hovered around 120-130 watts sustained while playing MHWilds.
Fan noise wasn’t that bad and I didn’t really notice a difference
For timespy:
GPU score went from 15699 to 17444
CPU score went from 12086 to 10644.
Total score went from 15025 to 15918
For steel nomad;
Score went from 3732 to 3949
I think the lower CPU score was due to charger limitations or something dumb. Cinebench score was normal at 19500.
Overall the change is like a 8% improvement in FPS in an actual game with no changes to charger or a cooling pad.
