Please help me ID this bone I found in my backyard!

I can’t help but be really creeped out by this. I found it sitting on the ladder in my backyard, placed there almost perfectly as if someone put it there. The ladder leads up to my deck and I went up expecting to see a dead animal but nothing was there. I don’t understand how it got there like that, it looks like a piece of a vertebra. It’s huge in size. I live in a northern American city and have only seen small animals like opossums, mice, squirrels, and cats in my area. That’s what’s scaring me the most, like is it just me or does that look like it could possibly be… something else. I don’t want to jump to conclusions because I would hope something like that is highly unlikely but the size and placement of it is really throwing me off. Can someone please shed some light?

I’ve suffered from chronically dry lips my entire life. I drink enough water, would constantly apply moisture, nothing really worked. Vasoline was the closest I ever got to “working” until someone put me on to Lanolips. When I say this stuff is life changing for me I am not exaggerating. I went from hating my lips to loving them, it’s the only thing I’ve found that keeps my lips hydrated and plump. The only problem is I use a tube every 1.5 weeks and it’s almost $14. Is there a cheaper solution with the same ingredients I can buy? Even if I don’t find an answer to this, I hope this post can help someone else that’s struggling with lips like mine. I feel like it was the solution I was missing my entire life.

I’m finishing up my dental hygiene program at community college. I have another year left in the program and I only used 88% of my 600% so far. I will only graduate with an associates degree, and my plan is to work towards my bachelor’s degree after I graduate. I will be working as a dental hygienist once I graduate, which will make my income skyrocket. Because of this, will I lose my Pell grant? I would also be enrolling in a university so I’m not sure if changing schools affects the grant either.
