Guys I'm 30+ guy just looking for a future proof hobby as a game dev I don't even know where to start,

I started 2d then some random dude startel posting 2d pixel art is dead coz you can now make all kinds of pixel art from AI.

Then I think of 3D and started to learn unity and now I found out it's not the right path to take and not worth it coz you have to start from 2d then 3d

I am really really confused what should I do or not should I start or not stay away from game dev ?

But I like those kind of things already wasted 2 months now.

Can any good piece of advice I can get so I should start again or maybe choose different path ?
