Is Charlie named after Charlie Kauffman?
Specifically Being John Malkovich & Adaptation sorta pop out as having similarities kinda
In BJM, Craig was able to takeover celeb John Malkovich's life. Craig did the dirty work while Maxine functioned as a bennefitter to Malkovich's wealth and power, and Maxine basically discarded Craig when she saw fit. It's a bit like how Ghostface tried to take over Sidney's role in the franchise
Adaptation has fictional Charlie Kauffman writing the movie playing, which deeper into the movie it starts to become more hollywood-cliched because thats what would get made & audiences would watch (once his brother Donald Kauffman takes control). So a mirror is sorta held at the audience kinda like Scre4m did but with horror cliches and overthetop violence
Dunno I feel Charlie fits sorta w the neurotic, desperate male chars Kauffman writes. Anybody else see it?
