Have an Anker 737 power bank that suddenly stopped working. Pressing the side button doesn’t turn on the display, and plugging in a device to any of the ports wouldn’t charge. However, if I plug in a power adaptor to the USB C input the display turns on and shows a ~0.3W input, the battery is already at 80%. But as soon as I disconnect the power the display turns off.

If I plug in a device while the power bank is plugged into a power adaptor then I see current flowing through to the plugged in device with the passthrough feature, the input is about 0.7W more than the output. Again, if I disconnect the power adaptor everything stops.

ChatGPT suggested a few things but nothing worked, like holding down the side button for about 15 seconds, plugging in a cable from USB C input to output, connecting the power bank to a low power device like earbuds for about an hour, holding down the side button while plugged in, letting the power bank charge for a while etc.

Failing that I contacted Amazon for a warranty replacement as it was just under 2 years since I bought it, they offered a refund and told me to safely dispose of the battery as they don’t want it returned. But before I throw it away, is there anything else I can try? The battery only has 32 charge cycles, and it was working just fine before. Hate to just throw it away if it can be salvaged.
