I understand that this will quite litterally be over a year from now, but can my mom attend the conference with me? She thinks she can't, but I thought I would go ahead and ask. I would prefer for her to be there for moral support. She will be flying out/driving with me to Nebraska anyway because I am not comfortable staying by myself 8 hours away.

I've been seeing people say not to take work study. Can someone explain why? It would be more beneficial for me to do work study so I can be off on holidays and weekends since I am 2 hours from home.
