Lately I’ve been waking up with 1-2 of these little patches on my face. I don’t have whiteheads all over, just the concentrated spots. I’m not sure if these are just how whiteheads come up on my skin, or is something weird is going on. They’re slightly itchy, which makes me concerned it’s fungal/something else.
I haven’t tried any treatments yet, other than hydrocolloid patches. They do suck some of the gunk out, but they still take a few days to clear up fully and leave a red mark after that. So far all I’ve done is cut my routine down to the basics - Aveeno sensitive skin to wash, Vanicream in the morning and night, and Neutrogena sunscreen in the morning. I want to figure out what these are first before I start slapping things on and irritate my skin more.
If anyone has had acne that looks similar and knows what it is, that would be super helpful. If it’s just whiteheads I have plenty I can try to treat them, but like I said, I’m struggling to find acne pics that look similar to mine.
