New to Nevermore and listened to most of their albums exclusively over a recent road trip. I'm pretty diverse in my metal tastes, from classic and thrash to death and black metal (giving the 'cores' and Nu's a wide berth) but so many bands have slipped my radar. NM being one of them.

Anyway, excellent guitar work, godly riffs, jaw-dropping leads, and the best vocals in the business. But I'm kinda looking for a bit more brutality and anguish in the vocals. Any bands you can recommend that are similarly brutal and melodic, but with more extreme vocals?

My UN has been gathering dust for several months and now it won’t boot into the normal, playable state. When turned on, the display fades in to full brightness then the LFO rate LEDs light up then it shuts off and repeats the boot sequence, never fully completing. Same result whether powered via USB or adaptor. I’ve tried three different adaptors of the proper voltage and amperage.

I’ve searched but there doesn’t seem to be a button press combo to factory reset or initialize it. It isn’t detected by the PC editor either. I’ve removed the screws from the bottom plate but can’t open the unit to clean the insides or check the battery.

Any clues what might be wrong? I live way out in the sticks and would like to poke around before shipping it to a tech.
