2001 Honda Civic LX 5-spd. No Power At All

Hey everyone,

I recently had a issue of a no crank, no start with my civic, which I thought it was a ignition switch. It turn out to be my interlock clutch switch which is bypassed but the wires didn't have enough connection. Me and my friend fixed connected the wires and the civic turn right on. Now I have the issue of the civic overheating and no fans come on. We checked the fuse and relay and they were good. We check the fan by using a power probe and the fans turned on. I went to the coolant fans switch side and tested from the harness and they turned on. After replacing my coolant fans switch, I lost all power to my civic. I have a couple of questions.

Q1) The ground that is on the thermostat housing, is that consider to be the middle of engine ground?

Q2) The lights on the dash did flickered and then I lost all power, did I blow my ECM by doing that?

Hey everyone,

I recently just started to have an issue of the no crank, no start on my 2001 Honda Civic LX manual transmission. My co-worker and I first started with testing the clutch safety switch, which we found is bypass. After that we started testing to see if the starter is good. We put direct power it to it and it worked. Once everything was put to together it still gave me issues with no cranking. Now I change the starter and we bypass the relay by powering the starter direct. It worked for about a week, now it’s not working. Does anyone have any idea on what I might be missing on testing?
