Hi everyone, I could really use some help troubleshooting this.
I’ve built this circuit twice — once on a PCB and once on veroboard — and I’m getting the exact same result both times: no sound when the pedal is engaged.
Here’s what I’ve checked so far:
The 3PDT switch wiring is correct (bypass works fine).
The circuit is getting power.
Up to the first transistor, the 33k resistor is receiving proper voltage.
However, the transistor readings don’t make sense. I’m measuring either around 9.5V or something like 0–1V, and the trimpot doesn’t affect them at all.
I also made sure the transistor is properly seated in the socket and checked continuity — everything seems fine there.
At this point, I’m starting to suspect the transistors themselves. I used 2SC1815.
Any ideas what might be going wrong? It’s not my first build but I’m quite new to this.
