Just received a new DCV501HB. I like the form factor, power, etc.
I have the previous DeWalt 20v vac design, and it's not as good.
However, this makes a crazy howl under load. Seemingly from the filter enclosure (doesn't happen without the filter on).
Is this harmonic normal?
On the fence about keeping this vs returning it, just due to the sound frequency.
We've this car 1 month before my wife applied the garage door to it. 😫 I expect this won't be the last time.
These scratches vary in depth, from superficial on the clear coat to seemingly all the way through the paint.
I'm overwhelmed by online advice and products. Hoping for some guidance on my goal here:
Looking for an idiot proof, ideally 1-2 step solution.
Want to reduce the visibility of this, I don't expect it to 100% go away.
Would prefer something mild that removes the least amount of paint/clear coat.
I'm seeing a variety of abrasives and polishes promising various miracle results.
What's the simplest approach if I don't expect a miracle, but just want the best harm reduction with the least possibility of messing up?
