dead bird in flue pipe, is this a contamination concern?
a bird got in through the outside due to the air outtake being exposed, the house was recently purchased and my boyfriend and i didn’t notice until this happened. the bird got burnt up pretty bad and i think exploded? 😭i’m guessing the dried red splatter is decomp material. we didn’t realize until we smelled it burning and feathers were everywhere. we removed the bird and cleaned up and are going to replace the part of the flue pipe that it died in. but my main concern is that we still smell burning, i believe feathers and other parts fell into the water tank and are still burning up when we use the hot water, is this a contamination concern?
