Hi all,

I underwent laparoscopic mesh surgey (TEP) for bilateral inguinal hernia 13 weeks ago.

For the first 6 weeks, I had a slow but steady recovery, reaching a point where there was some (but mild) pain in the mesh areas. But I wasn't able to exercise without causing days-long flare ups that felt inflammatory.

The progression plateaued after the 6 week mark, and I still can't exercise anything that activates the core without flaring up again. There is also some remaining swelling in the mesh areas.

The pain feels mildly inflammatory and achy, with the added minor "twitches" in the groin from time to time.

Has anyone here had a similar prolonged recovery path? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
