Me (17F) and my boyfriend (17M) have been together for almost two weeks now, but we’ve known each other for over a year. We dated last year for about a month after being friends for around 3 months, went no-contact for about 5 months, and then started talking again in February. We never had any major relationship issues, and I’ve been in love with him since we first dated. We both changed quite a bit as people and are now closer than ever. It should be known that we’re both virgins. Yesterday we made out in my car for about 3 hours, and it was possibly the best experience I’ve ever had. We kept checking in on each other, laughing, taking pauses to just cuddle, etc. It felt very natural for both of us. We have a lot of chemistry in almost every aspect it seems, and we trust each other completely. Both of us just want whatever makes the other happy, and we’re both fine with waiting to do anything. However, I’m wondering if waiting is necessary, since we’re both down and pretty much all over each other. Our only worry is that we don’t want sex to become the basis of our relationship. I’m almost sure it won’t, since we’re both very mature for our age (I’d say), and love many other things about one another. Genuinely, both of us would be fine with simply holding hands for the rest of our lives lol. But we are very attracted to and comfortable with each other. My parents and some of our mutual friends think it would be best to wait for at least 3 months, or until we both turn 18 (my birthday is in August, his is in November). We’ve agreed that waiting is probably the safest bet, I’m just wondering if it’s truly necessary regarding our relationship with each other.

Any and all advice is appreciated! :)
