So this is kind of a weird question, but I’m wondering if there’s an app out there for the iPhone that records audio in the background - i.e. when the screen is off or being used for other purposes by the user of the phone.
Basically, my step-daughter’s mom is a bit crazy, and is constantly trying to find ways to get into our lives. My step-daughter (age 11) has a phone that she brings over from her mom’s house. There was a period of time where her mom wouldn’t allow her to bring it over to our house (I think as a way to punish her for coming over because she enjoys having it and her mom tries to make her not enjoy her time with us) but recently, she started bringing it again. I don’t think my step daughter would knowingly record us, but I would not be shocked if her mom found a way to run a background app on the phone to record what’s going on in our house. Does such an app exist, that could record without the phone user knowing? If it matters, it’s an older iPhone, maybe a 10?
