Are there any friendships on greys anymore?
Unless charecters are either being taught something or are in a romantic relationship they do not interact.
It hit me with the finale when no one says goodbye to Teddy and Owen. And I thought about it and realised that they don’t have any friends.
Teddy has no one she’s close with, my endugu but that’s just a work relationship. Owen has Amelia but then again they haven’t talked in years. Who else have they actually interacted without outside of their toxic relationship.
Let’s compare it to a character like Arizona before she left:
Romantically with carina
Close friends with April
Close friends with Richard
Mutual respect with Bailey
Mentor/mentee with Alex
Compare this to someone like Link (a replacement for Arizona)
Romantically with Jo
……
No mentor/mentee
His literal only option for character interactions is Jo
Another example:
Ameila
Romantically with new girl
…. And close with merideth.
Despite sharing a kid she’s not friends with link
She’s not friends with Owen. She has no girlfriends. She’s alone.
