I'm new here so apologies if this topic has been discussed.

Does anyone actually get good coffee from a cafe?

I live in Austin Texas. I use to be a barista and I travel all around the US. Or at least I use to. I can't remember the last time I had a milk drink that actually tasted like coffee. All I taste is milk. Even when I get something with less milk. Now I make my own at home but jeez, just once I would like to be surprised by a cafe.

Now I get it. Maybe I should just get espresso alone. But sometimes I would like to have a warm drink that has a bit more substance. Is that really too much to ask for?
