Hi,
I’d like to get some opinions on a PC build I’m planning.
I'm located in France.
EDIT: Peripherals I HAVE : mouse, keyboard, 3 monitors, headset and usb hub.
Main use:
- Gaming (recent / AAA games)
- Some light office work, but not a priority
- Goal: keep the build for several years
Monitor : EDIT: THAT I HAVE
- 1440p, 180Hz (it's the main one)
Budget:
- Around €2000 to €3600
Build:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (4.7 GHz)
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING TRIO OC
- RAM: DDR5 Kingston Fury Beast Black EXPO - 32GB (2x16GB) 6000 MHz CL30
- Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
- PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 - 1000W
- Case: Lian Li Lancool III
Storage:
Not included since I plan to reuse my current drives:
- SSDs: 2 SATA + 1 NVMe
- HDD: 1 SATA
My thoughts:
- CPU: seems like a safe choice for gaming?
- GPU: hesitating between 5070 / 5070 Ti / 5080, went with the 5080 for better longevity
- Cooling: unsure between air cooling and AIO, chose air cooling for reliability but open to suggestions
- Case / motherboard: picked based on some research but not 100% confident
Questions:
- Are any components overkill or poorly balanced?
- Does air cooling make sense here vs AIO?
- Any recommendations for the motherboard or case?
- Any optimizations I could make without increasing the budget too much?
Thanks!
