Shady Folktail facility in the middle of nowhere. What could those farmers possibly be up to?

Has Ma' Ngonel has gone crazy and started gnawing on Suli's leg again, so they locked her up and threw away the key?

Or is this some sort of top secret research facility, studying "accidental" badwater exposure on beavers?

Just kidding. It's a badtide cotainment building!

Forced to leave

No, this isn't a rant. I came to say goodbye!

The situation has simply gotten too precarious for me to remain. Ever since I installed PoP! with cosmic, it has been like wrestling with an orangutan to work around all the bugs and keep the system stable and healthy. The fact of the matter is, if I wanted a rolling release-like experience like this, I would have just installed an Arch derivative. I am an intermediate Linux user, once I get my OS to do what I want it to do, I stop poking and prodding. But as things stand, poking and prodding is all I do just to get the essentials to work properly.

>Maybe it's my own fault, I did build a new AMD-based pc specifically to maximize Linux compability, I could have missed something in my research of driver compatibility, though I don't see how this experience could be worse than my old Intel/Nvidia system, which ran seamlessly, but I digress.

If you're wondering what this is about, the last update broke my distro completely. Not only did I get Kernel panics, after booting to an old kernel, additional use of my computer has revealed that the problem is considerably more pervasive than the simple matter of a bad kernel update. I won't go too far into detail, but suffice it to say that Wine, Proton, video playback and internet browsing are all severely affected. The window manager is also misbehaving, not letting me resize windows, maximize, minimize or move them half the time. This was only the last straw of a whole slew of problems that I've managed to stay on top of... until now.

To keep going would feel like using a spoon to try and scoop water out of a leaky boat. Seems utterly futile to me.

I'll be moving to Bazzite shortly. The first ever distro hop after years of using Linux. To those of you sticking around, I wish for the best! I commend your patience in matter.

Kernel Panic after update

Updated the system in the terminal and it is now kernel panic-ing 10 minutes after boot. I booted into the old kernel just now. Will see if it holds.

I am looking online to see if I can pull a log, but I can't get a definitive answer. Is there even a log being generated when a kernel panic happens so I can see wtf is going on?

That is just messed up! And the map looked so good in the thumbnail.

It was soooo peaceful for the first 15 cycles... then suddenly all hell broke loose and I've got beavers running ragged trying to plug the holes in advance that these bombs would have made!

EDIT: Many of you are insistent on knowing what the map is, it's called "Beavers Riverland - 256x256".
