As mentioned in two other posts, the S33 was removed from the authorized modem list on Cox’s website. I just ran a Speedtest today and noticed that I’m now getting 40 Mbps instead of 100.
Long story short, my S33v3 is rejecting the Mid-Split config file with a 'TLV 11 - unrecognized OID' error. This is forcing a 42MHz diplexer lock, which caps my upload at 40 Mbps. The Cox chat rep confirmed that they are not able to reprovision the S33 because it’s not authorized anymore.
I went back and forth with the rep because, of course, they wanted to change my plan and get me a rental modem. At the end, he gave up and told me he will send me a new modem at no cost to me.
I see the order in my Cox app. He also scheduled a tech visit at the same time and told me that it’s just for the order, but I went ahead and canceled the visit in the app because I’m sure they want me to pay for the modem install.
Edit: Decided not to go with the free modem from Cox since they wanted to send me the Panoramic WiFi. Bought the Hitron CODA56, and my upload speeds are back to 114 Mbps.
