Was about to melt the wax in this lamp to transfer it to a jar(refurbishing the whole lamp) and my dumbass put the bottle in the pot as it was on a high boil..oops.

Sad to see a lamp go 🫡

I ordered this lamp from CC music and am in the middle of its first run. Its been going about 8 hours now. It arrived with some sticking(and pretty cloudy) but I figured it clear up after a couple cycles. As the lamp has run the sticking has been getting worse. I know this can happen with old lamps and bad wax, but this one is brand new so Im wondering if there is any way to fix it? I also noticed a lot of trapped air at the base (3rd photo) so maybe that has something to do with it?

Im thinking of taking it apart. Melting the wax down, filtering the fluid, cleaning the globe and coating with surfactant.

What do you guys think? Do you think its worth a shot or should I cut my losses and see about getting a replacement and risking another faulty lamp.
