It really sucks coming to either of these subs looking for guidance, help, or post op recovery stories, but all I ever see is people spouting snake oil solutions, surgery pain, and the fact that it never gets better.

lets not forget the “did it work?” comment with no reply. Go into any OPs account and you’ll see their last comment and post was about the pain. No aftermath.

So many stories of people trying every topical medication, diet, sitz bath, stool softener to no avail

Even seeing a GI or Colorectal surgeon has lead to people saying they need to “change doctors” with no update after

For anyone new browsing this sub, this is the most demoralizing thing to read, because what we see is. *The pain isn’t going to go away. This our life now.* This is so hopeless. Obviously we are all miserable, but being hopeless makes this all worse. I feel more hopeful when I browse r/tinnitus.

I have yet to see a recovery story that didn’t require 1000 things that would have to be repeated for the rest of your life. And thats like 1 post out of 100 here. Hopeless.

Screw all of this , this crap (literally) has put me out of work and unable to drive or do anything. I cant even lay on my stomach and game without experiencing pain.

If i recover, Ill make a post.
