Grill rig

Grill rig

I got mine quite a few years ago and noticed what I felt was a design flaw in the way the grill was meant to be moved around. Whenever I lifted the hopper end, I could see some flex in the end of the barrel, and I was concerned that over time it might start to tear around the bolt holes.

Since I had some scrap wood lying around, I decided to build a cart for it. I added pneumatic tires to make it easy to move over any terrain, included a couple of shelves for trays and other accessories, and attached a fold-down front shelf using collapsing brackets for extra workspace when needed.

The grill is garage-kept, so the pneumatic tires have held up perfectly over the years and haven't been exposed to the elements.

Did some easy BBQ on a lazy day!

Wife and kids were out most the day and I had a load of dad chores to get done.... one thing I WANTED to do was some BBQ since I haven't had time to in a loooong time. Loved it, and surprisingly so did one of my daughters! Seasoning was just extra course ground pepper and kosher salt. Could not have been easier, honestly... im not a huge fan of reheated ribs, so I boned the leftovers and shredded it into pulled pork the next day which was fantastic :)

Blind box help

I just got a blind box and I’m not 100% positive which one I got. I can only imagine the low end.

It doesn’t have built-in thermometer?

I turned it to 275 to do a quick burn and it shot up 310° before I went down. Is that normal?

Z-Grill Dead?

Got this Z-grill about a year ago, had a lot of problems with it. Had to replace the main circuit board and temperature probe.

Now the auger will not turn and the motor makes small click sounds, the baffle is burnt through, and the drip pan is warped.

Do I just throw this thing away?
