Concerned about this summer

Feeling a bit defeated with this new regulation where reservations aren’t required to enter the park. I was in Yosemite a few weeks ago camping and weekdays were fine but Saturday and Sunday the amount of people in the park was insane. It took us two hours to find parking, people honking at each other, road rage incidents, etc. I love Yosemite and worried about this summer how bad it will get. Is there anything we can do to vote or sign to bring back reservations? What’s the solution?

Tent camping - Best spots that doesn’t feel like a RV park

Any good areas in or near Yosemite for tent camping that actually feel like you’re in the woods? We’d be fine with a short drive or hike into the Valley/National Park — probably up to ~30 minutes away. Mainly trying to avoid the packed RV/trailer park type campgrounds.

I’ve heard there’s a lot of free/dispersed camping near Yosemite too. What spots have y’all stayed at or recommend?
